| After School Program Overview | |
Cambridge Academy’s after school program is an ideal time to supplement the academic curriculum offered at the public schools. Our after school program is designed to provide a variety of choices for the maturing elementary student. We feel that the time spent at Cambridge should be filled with quality activities that pique the interest and imagination of our students. A primary goal at Cambridge Academy is to assist our students in establishing a good homework routine. We feel that completing homework assignments in a quiet environment at Cambridge can help reserve time at home for family activities. A wide variety of fun indoor and outdoor activities are provided to fill our school age student’s day when their homework is completed. During holidays, teacher in-service days, and summers Cambridge Academy offers full day care. Additional activities are planned for these days, including field trips and guest speakers. The field trips include miniature golf, bowling, local parks, the cinema, and roller-skating to name a few. Guest speakers and performers include magicians, vocalists, and science programs. We also have our own in-ground pool for use during the summer months. Free swim sessions are scheduled two times per week. Swimming lessons with our own trained and experienced life guard/swim instructors are also available. It’s wonderful to be able to cool off in our own pool during those hot summer days. Cambridge Academy school age students have a fun, supportive environment that compliments their public school education, while allowing the socialization with their peers that the elementary student needs. |
