| Class Curriculum : Toddlers | |
|
The Cambridge Academy toddler curriculum is designed to provide a variety of hands-on activities that are appropriate for our young students. Toddlers learn through play and interaction with others. Exploration with age-appropriate toys provides important opportunities for cause and effect observations. Oral language activities such as counting, singing, story time, and object identification encourage their ever-growing vocabulary. Small muscle activities such as painting, coloring and playing with manipulative toys will help build eye-hand coordination. Dancing, throwing a ball, and other movement activities help toddlers develop their large muscle skills. Daily self-help skills are also encouraged. The toddlers are learning how to drink from a cup, hold a spoon and feed themselves. At this stage, the toddlers are improving their socialization skills by learning to play along side and with their peers. Following simple directions and using polite manners are also a part of learning to work and play with others. At Cambridge Academy, we provide a loving environment where your child can grow and mature to their fullest. |
